Ever wanted to live out an arctic fantasy, Now you can. A bunch of Igloos have popped up by the Thames
Zahra and I have made Thursday our date night for quite some time now, as we both lead busy lives but still want to make time for catch up and brunch. Honestly, I was intrigued by the Igloo idea Coppa Club introduced. As Per usual, I decided to check it out with Zahra, only this time I brought along our two friends, Tosin and Zaire. If you keep up with my restaurant reviews and date nights, you may have read some cool places to brunch.
Tosin and I made it to Coppa Club a little before Zahra and Zaire and immediately popped in the igloo. The waitress was sweet, made us feel welcomed and asked us what we would like to order. I politely told her to return, once our friends have arrived. In the Igloo, we met a guy who was also waiting for his friend to arrive, we chatted, and facetime his wife to show her the setting. The place is furnish with faux fur covering the seats, wooden tops, with candles, and flowers placed above the tent. For those of you, that are worried about dining out in this temperature, the igloos have to heat system and blankets. It’s also overlooking the Thames. We were totally taken by this place as we entered.
As soon as they arrived, we kicked off with a selection of starters. Italian meatballs came in a ceramic plate, served with bread. It was delicious. Zaire ordered the sea king prawns, which she loved while Zahra ordered fresh crab bruschetta.
Then they brought out our main meals, with myself and Tosin ordering tagliatelle bolognese and chips, which was delicious. Zaire chose Kiln smoked salmon on sourdough, while Zahra chose the club caesar. They’re meal looked and tasted delicious. For dessert, they chose sticky toffee and loved it.
One thing I will say, towards the evening, It got a little colder as the wind went through the spaced gap at the bottom of the tent. Other than that, it’s a great place to dine with friends on an afternoon or even a casual date night venue.
The igloos are open to the public now. Their winter menu is launching from 16 November and will remain until the igloos close at the end of the year.
