Ways To Stay Warm and Stylish This Party Season

Dresses are becoming outdated when you reach a stage of choosing comfortability, cosiness, and style over frostbites from the cold.

OMG! It’s the first of November which symbolises that the party season, typically Christmas and New Years is around the corner. Personally, I can’t fathom the fact that we are approaching 2018 when it felt like entering 2017 was five minutes ago. But I digress. Around this season, I always have a mental discussion with myself on ways to dress well, stay warm and feel the festivity engulf me.

Years before, I’ve always lived and felt the fabulous wearing dresses with six-inch heels and a clutch. However, this year I’ve embraced the casual look, thanks to my laziness, and that wouldn’t stop during the festive season. So this year I’m injecting the jumpsuits, blouses and trouser combination, with scarfs and gloves that will keep you warm and stylish instead of the old faithful, dresses. I mean, dresses are becoming outdated when you reach a stage of choosing comfortability, cosiness, and style over frostbites from the cold.

Jumpsuits
They are slowly becoming the new dresses, warm, socially accepted onesies that let your style imagination run wild creating a transitional day chic to night glam with a swap of earrings, shoes and clutch. They are the best bits of fashion that I’ve lived in throughout this year, finding a new appreciation for this bad boys. If you’re looking for the best dressy jumpsuits to opt for this season, Reiss, Misguided, Boohoo, AQ/AQ, HouseofCB are my go-to’s for fabulous jumpsuits during the party season.

Blouses
They use to be my favourites around my college until the first year of university stage, and it plummeted for years. But now it’s finding itself into my hearts, the styles, designs, and versatility of them have made it become an item I find myself reaching for whenever I’m shopping in the store, or online. When Layered underneath a blazer, or styled with tailor trousers it never fails to achieve a well put together and on trend vibe to an outfit. Also, for those of you that like to feel extra warm, and toasty during the colder months, you sneak a thermal vest underneath. If you’re looking for the best dressy blouses, River Island, Miss Selfridge, Dorothy Perkins, New Look, Zara are my go-to’s.

Footwear
This year has been the year I upgraded my shoe collection and injecting autumnal footwear to my collection bring joy to my heart. Thankfully, the stores have acted accordingly, adding fabulous shoes that are comfortable, stylish and cold proof, ready to be worn for the party season. With shoe trends like the fishnet court heels, Stiletto sock boots, a perfect pairing with a jumpsuit, trousers, jeans, and for extra warmth, you can wear an ankle black tight socks.
