In the fashion industry, it’s normality to welcome new trends and wave goodbye to other styles. Sometimes, there are pieces of styles that stay around, long enough to become a tradition. Cue in the Puffer jacket. For years I’ve always accustomed the puffer coat to a Roadman Jacket, an example is the Michael Dapaah depict of Roadman Shak, who’s never hot.
Plus, it put a smile on my family’s face, and that’s enough to keep me wearing it.
During the colder months, My usual go-to is the faux fur and checked knee-length coat. However, this season I’ve replaced my go-to with a variety of textures; suede, wool, padded, and length to upgrade my wardrobe, creating the laidback yet, chic look this season.
Although I’ve had this puffer coat for years, bought by my step-dad when I was in secondary school, it hasn’t seen the daylight until last week. I’m sure this puffer coat is ecstatic to get the recognition it deserves, and rightfully so. It’s slowly become the coat I reach for, to stay warm, on-trend, and laidback. Plus, it put a smile on my family’s face, and that’s enough to keep me wearing it.
When making a purchase, or wearing an outfit, no matter the price point or the brand, I always look for something that I can transition through seasons and pair with most of my outfits. This puffer coat is no exception, and my stepdad has hit the Jackpot with this Minx style. Over the winter season, you’ll find me pairing this puffer coat with many outfits. Also, it has a detachable hoodie that comes in handy depending on the weather changes.
